Group Playing with Parachute
New This Year - We will be splitting the children up by age.



The class for 5-9 year olds will be from 1:00-1:45 pm.


The class for 10-14 year olds will be from 1:45-2:30 pm.


The Bangor Parks & Recreation is offering a new physical fitness program to area children who are home schooled. This program will have a mixture of unstructured and structured physical activity.

During the unstructured time, children will have a chance to shoot hoops, jump rope, play pass with a football or soccer ball, dance, etc.

The structured time will consist of two activities lead by a member of the Bangor Parks & Recreation Staff and will include activities such as sports clinics, fitness classes, kickball, dodgeball, tag games, team sports, and many more.

This program is held on Wednesdays from 1:00-2:30 pm (Ages 5-9: 1-1:45 pm. Ages 10-14: 1:45-2:30 pm) and costs $10 for a 6 week session.




Session 2 Dates: 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21, 1/4, 1/11
Session 3 Dates: 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 3/1


Schedule for a Typical Class
5-9 Year Olds
1:00-1:15 pm: Unstructured physical activity time
1:15-1:45 pm: Group activity or game chosen by Parks & Recreation Staff

10-14 Year Olds
1:45-2:00 pm: Unstructured physical activity time
2:00-2:30 pm: Group activity or game chosen by Parks & Recreation Staff
