"The Bangor Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to collaborate with the Penobscot Region chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association (PRNEMBA) to offer a weekly family and youth mountain bike ride at Bangor City Forest this summer.  Riders will explore a variety of dirt roads, paths, and trails and learn about the basics of mountain biking. Specific mountain bike skills will be introduced on trail and in obstacle courses. The goal of the program is to introduce area youth and families to the fun that can be had with off-road biking!

Participants must provide their own equipment and bikes need to be in good working order. Helmets are required. Each ride will start with a quick safety check of equipment before we hit the trails. Kids 10 and under must have a parent or adult accompany them on the ride. Riders need to be able to bike without training wheels."
