Our instructors have a combined 50 years of martial arts experience. Mike Wilson is the owner and primary instructor of Pine Tree Karate & Fitness. He began studying Moo Duk Kwan style Tae kwon Do in 1983 under Master Mike Clark. He is a former 2 time Maine State sparring champion. Mr. Wilson is a Second Degree Black belt with many years experence instructing in martial arts.
Tiny Dragons (ages 6-8)
- Tae kwon Do for our young kids targets balance, controlling their bodies, and focus of attention. They will learn modified Moo Duk Kwan forms and basics that all age groups learn. Their classes include games, mentoring, life skills, and lots of high energy.
Junior Karate (ages 9-12)
- Tae kwon do for this age group will work on coordination, balance, flexibility, physical conditioning, sparring, self-defense as well as focus of attention and energy. We also include various games, mentoring and life skills that focus on respect, discipline, and courtesy, non-violent confrontation. They start to learn more about the traditions and history of martial arts.
Adults Karate (Teens & Adults, ages 13 & up)
- Students work on physical conditioning, mentoring and life skills that focus on respect, discipline, and courtesy, non-violent confrontation. Forms, advanced concepts and realistic self-defense techniques are practiced. This class is designed to be a fun, fast paced, martial arts work out. We will work on sparring techniques and learn how to focus power with hand and fott movements.
